Thanks for the "eye test", Charlie!!!    Seriously, folks... just click on the attachment icon at the bottom of Charlie's post... it's a little easier on the eyes.  But this one's gonna HURT big time... just like last year.

Looks like Lionel came through with all the ESE items (with the exception of the StationSounds car due in 1Q2016 if we're lucky), another 18" passenger car set, Legacy boom-sound cars, and Heavy Mikado locomotives.  And if that's not bad enough, even the ES44's managed to ship on this boat too, and they were originally scheduled to ship in January 2016.   This is the "mother lode" of shipments that tends to happen every December... without fail.    Hope everybody's been saving those pennies all year long, 'cause it's time to pay the piper now.    And didn't we see a shipping notice not too long ago that MTH is also gonna be shipping the motive power this month for the re-release of the Norfolk Southern OCS train???   "Oh boy"... only begins to describe it!!!

David

P.S.  For those folks looking for a little  relief, I do recall Mike Reagan indicating the boom cars -- although showing up as shipping in December -- will be held in Lionel's NC warehouse until the Legacy crane cars ship around May 2016.  So that's a $175 or so savings for those confronted with a potentially HUGE credit card bill from the all-in-one December shipment(s).    Hey, every little bit helps!!!

Looks like my credit card is going to take a big hit here shortly,  with 2 ES44ACs and the Milwaukee passenger cars arriving at my train store.

You've got that right.  I've got 4 ES44AC's coming.  And, I have the MTH NS OCS engines (2 powered A's and 2 B's) coming.  I guess I must have been a good boy this year.

I sure hope it takes a while for the MTH NS passenger cars to come in....my credit card will need time to cool off.

I think more and more of us can relate to that feeling these days, whereas a few years ago you'd never hear folks hoping for delayed shipments.  But nowadays, there's simply WAY too many $1K and $2K "purchase opportunities" hitting the street simultaneously.   Not sure how so many folks are managing through these prices.

I'm clearly at the point where -- aside from Lionel's bicentennial VL GG-1 (which I'm hoping might be a great color-match to the Atlas-O Amtrak "zephyr" cars if Lionel isn't too greedy on price) -- I'm not even anticipating the new 2016 catalog!  I didn't pre-order anything from the most recent MTH catalogs... O-Gauge or Standard Gauge.  And I even cut back on my Atlas-O pre-orders as compared to days gone by.  So I'm off to a good start on holding the line WRT "net new" 2016 toy train products.

I have the ESE set ordered and that's about it.  I just recently finally got all my train shelves up and after all these years have unpacked every item I have purchased.  Well I find I have duplicates of some things and others I will never use or just too many of a certain car or type of car that will fit on my layout or display shelves.

I was going to get yet another ES44ac but how many do I need.  Now that I can actually see what I own and what I really enjoy on the layout, I can be a lot more selective in what I buy.  I had 4 or 5 other items on my list I have since decided are not needed.

Unless you have a room and layout setup, its so easy to just buy too much.  Honestly with the amount of consumers in the hobby that can afford these prices I would think it would be better to space this out through the whole year.  Did you see the MTH stuff listed for Dec?  I mean they are creating their own saturated market.   I don't see how it could all possibly sell.  I see why Lionel went to BTO.

I mean if I can't run it on your layout or display it, why do I need it?   That's my philosophy now.  Luckily my collection did not get too out of control but I probably have about 2000.00 or so worth of stuff I don't need or want.

I know the manufactureres think they want to have stock for the holiday season but people that just run trains at Christmas and only buy trains this time of year aren't going to buy trains at the high end prices.  Maybe an accessory, some track and a starter set or a few cars, but they are not in the hobby full time.

1) is this shipping to you or you shipping to us?

Us, but we will break down the skids and slap the labels on the same day to get it to you first!

2) Charlie do you have another BNSF golden swoosh to sell . Please let me know.

I don't know at this point until we run a report.

3) When do the grasshopper oil pumps ship?

If you mean the "Plug N Plays" they came in last month. If that was the only item you ordered we sent it to you along with tracking info. If not we hold it until more comes in to ship.

We have 4 separate truck deliverers that are in transit to us from Lionel as of today. That's a lot of skids!

I've been away for several months and the first post I read on this sub-forum is that the NS ES44AC's have arrived!  This will be my first NS locomotive (want to still find an older Reading Heritage locomotive) and my fist Legacy locomotive.  Guess it's time to hook up the Legacy Command Set and finally make the plunge from conventional to command operation.

Just got a charge on my credit card, so my NKP Mikado and PA's are being shipped.

Is the credit card automatically charged?  I put my Santa Fe ES44AC pre-order onto a gift card which would be rejected at this juncture.  Last time I pre-ordered I got a phone call when the product was in.
