The link below is to a YouTube video of another steam locomotive headlight piercing the night, the headlamp of my Lionel, postwar, 736 Berkshire easily leading a 20-car freight train powered by it original 1953-54 "Pullmore" (forgive my possible spelling error) motor with magnatraction adhering its drive wheels to the rails.

Following Don and Bob:  Morrison's Door Factory.

A funny story at my expense:  I needed to fill a space between two buildings on my layout and the Woodland Scenics Morrison's Door Factory fit the space. After it was installed, a model train friend who is a retired contractor visited my layout and said he thought Morrison's Doors was neat. I'm a retired classical musician and said, "Oh, is Morrison's a famous door manufacturer?" He looked at me and said, "Duh......Jim Morrison......Doors."

I need to think outside the box more.

Bob

Lionel set 1465, headed by a Lionel 2034, another incarnation of Lionel's "Scout" series of locomotives:

Lionel 1465

From one year only, 1952, the 2034 seems better than the traditional Scout as it features an open-frame motor and a three position e-unit. I added a bell (there's is a hole in the boiler casting for it already) and green "diamonds" in the running light fixtures.

@pd- I agree, the #2034 is a bit of an anomaly, since it is die cast and has the better motor it is "above" the low end Scout locomotives.  A derivative of the 2034 the #1130 had a plastic boiler casting but the casting was identical to the 2034.  It turns out that in 1954, Lionel was short of plastic bodies but had some 2034 die cast bodies left over so stamped them 1130 hence you have both plastic and die cast 1130's... Confused??  Welcome to the club !  Finally however in 1954 the tender came with an automatic coupler hence it could be coupled to regular line rolling stock.

I have a 2034 and despite its sometimes poor reputation, I like it  and it runs fine.  These small locomotives work exceptionally well on my little layout.

Don

Mark,

That an amazing layout. How many trains can run?

Thanks Bob, nothing fancy I can run six trains and I have a block near the passenger station if I want to run shut power off then bring out another train, then in the small yard I have a few blocks to bring a engine in and take out another out. My other layout was 21 x 16 ran around eight trains, no picture all on the other computer that well *hit the bed. I like to run mostly pw Lionel, don't run to standard like some operators mostly for having a beer and days gone by watching my dad's HO Lionel. And grandkids watching and looking for different scenes. Was on OGR back in the 80s then got away from the magazine, with all the great looking layouts would have done it different. Thanks again Mark

I had that log loader that was part of the Lionel "Electronic" set Santa brought the Christmas 1948.  Kind of wish still had it.

Ron

That log loader, a log car, and a caboose that I bought for $4 are all that I had left from my trains from the 50's when I returned in 2000. I also had the KW transformer, the operating cattle car, and the barrel loader which I replaced using ebay.

from PRRonbh...another caboose, this one a very ancient warrior.

Lionel 152 loco and 801 caboose both from approximately 1923 or 100 Years Ago!  (and Yes...it does run although I do not run it often for fear of burning out some part I will never be able to replace).

Following Don McE:  a Corleone Olive Oil truck making a delivery to Clemenza's Italian Bakery, with the Don keeping a watchful eye. The truck is actually a little large for my layout (it's my only 1:34 vehicle while my other vehicles are 1:43) but The Godfather is a favorite movie ("leave the gun; take the cannoli.") so I had to have it.

Rather than a video of a passing passenger train pulled by a steam locomotive, I offer a video of a ride through a past iteration of our layout while riding in a luxury PRR coach behind an MTH, Rail King, PRR, K-4s steam locomotive. During your ride, you will be passed by another PRR passenger train pulled by a PRR GG-1 electric engine.

Thanks Randy that was enjoyable. I shared it to my TV to get a better look.

following pennsyfan...My Lionel #256 and passenger cars.  This version around 1926 and the cars are lettered..."Illinois Central" over the windowns.  The cars are 710 Pullman's and a 712 observation.  You can see this is an early picture as I had just finished laying the track for my layout and there was no scenery as yet.
