Gentlemen,

I put the Cab2 into the Legacy base, batteries inserted properly for charging, and the red lights on both sides of the bottom of the base blink back and forth fairly fast, according to the directions this is the fast charging state.  The Cab2 has been charging now for about 1/2 an hour, and the lights have not switched over to blinking Green.  The light on the left bottom of the base is solid Green now, and the Cab2 seems to be getting warm.  However the two original lights on oppsite sides of the base keep blinking red fairly fast.

Am I looking at a problem with my new 990 Legacy, or do the batteries just need to charge more.
Can someone advise me as to what is going on, the video does not cover this at all.

cjack,

Well the lights went solid red and I took the Cab2 off the base, let it cool down and

put it back on, and everything finally started blinking green then went solid green so it looks like the Cab2 is now fully charged, and I can go on from here.  cjack what size wire are you running from the legacy base to the track?  Can't find a specification for it in the Legacy instructions.  The hole in the legacy post is not all that big.

Hey Dave,

The gauge ground signal wire to the track does not have a be a large wire so 18-20 gauge wire will do. I would recommend a banana plug connection for the legacy base since it will make good contact and easy to unhook should you need to do so.

Your battery charging cycle is correct. You could leave the CAB2 in the base with the dual flashing red lights and the system will cycle back to charging once the batteries cool down.

I hope this helps.
