These units recently took a header off my platform onto my garage floor.  Although all proto sounds and motors appear to be working, I'm sure I have a problem with the rear power truck since I can turn the wheels by hand.  The AA units do run but will not pull any kind of a load.  Is this something I might be able to handle myself and if so can someone give me some guidance?  Also, if I need to send the unit to a service center can someone suggest a reputable repair facility.  I live in southwest Florida but don't have a problem UPSing units out of state for repair since I've never dealt with any of the authorized service centers 100 miles away in Tampa and Miami.  Thanks in advance.

Without knowing what is wrong, I can't say for sure if you can fix it.  It all really depends on how handy you are.  If they were mine I'd take the shells off and make sure that the motor are in fact spinning when powered.  I'd also hold them in my hand and turn the fly wheel by hand to see if the wheels turn.  Also look to make sure the motor is fully bolted to the trucks.  If the motor mount came loose or broke, that would allow the wheels to move by hand or the motor to not be fully seated and cause a lose of power.
