does  anyone with ross custom switches have pictures or video's of there switches with the switch motor connected to the switch, can the motor be mounted on either side of the switch. I am looking to replace a few of my older lionel switches that are starting to break down , are the ross switches the same height as lionel's  o gauge tubular track and would they mate with the tubular track.

          thanks

When I used Ross Switches with Ogauge tubular track I placed card stock as a shim under the entire switch to bring it up to the tubular track height. You’ll need Gargraves transition Ogauge pins to join the Ross and tubular track. Also if you cut the unused ties off they can easily be placed back where they belong and held in place with small brads. I use Atlas track nails.

Ross Ready switches don't come with any wiring for non-derailing, I have 24 of them sitting around the layout.  if you want that, you have to add the wire drops and provide whatever non-derailing logic you need.  For the DZ-2500 that has non-derailing as a feature, you will need to wire the drops, add the recommended diodes, and connect the insulated rails to the DZ-2500.

is that the transition track with the #4? I thought you were using regular Ross switches on the new layout.

I am using the Ross regular switches, this is an orphan that I'm going to sell.  Nice solid switch, I just don't use tubular track.
