Thoughts on a Menards AA consist or "lash up" - is it possible? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I have the Menards version 3.5 and 4.5 locomotives and had plans to develop an AA consist with two powered locomotives. Both the 3.5 and 4.5 locomotives will work interchangeably with either of the remotes that came with them. The wrench in the gears is that a controller will only link up with one of the locomotives at a time. I have not found a way to link a single controller with both of the locomotives simultaneously. This must be an internal feature in the controller operation. Of course, it makes a lot of sense if you had multiple operators and multiple locomotives on the layout at the same time. Looking for thoughts on how this might be accomplished. Thanks for any thoughts.

Hokie, have you done a search? I seem to remember a thread that discussed this and the original poster was running two with two remotes. I just don't remember if they were running in a consist or as two separate trains.

I don't think it'll work with a single remote.
