Mark, I haven't been there but ALMOST was 2 months ago.  They are listed as an authorized MTH repair center but when I called about a repair the girl said that they don't actually do the repairs - they send the stuff to J&J Trains in Natrona.  So I went straight to J&J's.

I've been to a couple Tru Value Hardware stores that carry trains and they're OK considering.

now where was I at the start of this topic? I say that 'cause my daughter recently bought a old house in...I believe Mercersville??  Pa...anyway I know its on the outskirts of mighty Pittsburgh Pa.   Next time I go up there I will use these suggestions to "shop".      Is Nicholas Smith nearby Pittsburgh?  People have raved about that store.

Walt,

I got the chance to stop by Sarver Tru Value.  While they have a small inventory, I saw some nice prices.  In fact, I bought a new DCS for a better price than I have seen elsewhere.  I have 2 PS2 engines running in conventional mode, time to get up to date.  Thank you.

Thanks for the update Mark.  Others that I've been to, never been to Sarver, have similar inventory and prices it sounds like.  Glad that you found some good buys!
