Hello all,

Please take a look at the 10 amp circuit breaker type I plan to use along with the TVS diodes. 210 amp circuit breakers at the transformer will be used on the main track and I plan to use the same type but 5 amp circuit breakers for accessories and other things. The circuit breakers have 3 solder lugs. Please provide a sketch or advice how to solder why are these into my layout. I have added an attachment.

Also, I have added a picture of the way I plan to add the TV'S diodes  maybe every 12 to 15 feet around the layout by using a CT C Lionel lock on. The black and red wiring UC soldered to the track will be my additional power to the layout.

What do you guys think after seeing my pictures?

Jerry

Not positive on how TVSs work, but I think this hookup may not help.  Since the outside rails are connected, I think the spike would go around this circuit on the unprotected outside rail.  A normal connection with the power wires attached to the lockon as normal with the TVS between the two connections (keep as is in picture) should work better.

One post is a ground for the light. It looks like it is the bottom one in the picture. The other two are line in and line out.

With a 12vdc led switch, and 18 vac track voltage, connect the earth pin from the led to ground thru a diode with the arrow pointing toward ground.
