Two drugs. One to eliminate the arthritis in my hands, and another to restore my vision to my teenage eyes. Then, I could see what I'm doing, and do what I'm seeing.
A pill that would allow to eat what I like and not gain weight, and allow me to cut my isle space so I can put another siding in.
A pill to turn a gallon of water into a gallon of gas. As far as teenage eyes, I wish I could remember what I saw when I had them.

They used to have that, and it worked after a fashion (talking about the water into gasoline)....unfortunately, the engine would self destruct after a couple of minutes. If i remember the scam correctly, it used acetylene in powder form.
What do I want? Track design software I actually can use, complete failure with anything CAD related....
Universal command control
A pill people can take to make them tolerant of others' approaches to the hobby regardless of scale, manufacturer or era. Perhaps we'd finally be able to eliminate the pointless bickering which we see all too often. After all, if it's trains, it's all good.

AGAIN, universal command control so I can run my MTH & LL on the same track with 1 remote!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AL
A device to clean tracks and vacuum scenery that really works and doesn't knock things over.
Model trains that generate revenue just like the real thing. That way you could always justify buying more trains.
Scott Smith
Batteries for remotes either DCS or Legacy that last up to a year without changing or charging.
Black-colored smoke that looks like diesel exhaust

Where there's smoke, there's fire.
I'll go with Scott
Gimme Revenue !
I don't need universal command Control as I need multiple remotes anyway.
I do need to Familiarize with Legacy... TMCC is no problem.
Necessity is the Mother of invention.
I am with TRAIN NERD and catnap....or, it is what I wish they had NOT invented, so
everything could be acquired as "conventional". I also want a realistic, rust proof
track system....wooden ties, nickel silver?, low profile, reliable and trouble-free
turnouts....is this REALLY too much to ask?
Amen to that brother.
I wish they would invent a 4" deep storage shelf with an expanded fourth dimension into the wall so it could hold five cars or locos one behind the other.
It's such a simple idea but expensive for manufactures to do at this late date. How about interchangeable drive wheels with or without grooves for traction tires. Have these wheels in three groups. Group 1. Tinplate Std & O-Gauge Group 2. Postwar & LTI Group 3. Modern All we can do is dream.
I would also like to see toy trains built to last fifty years again. With some lasting as long as one-hundred years.
A roll of toilet paper that becomes nonstick after sitting out for two days. I would use it in my guest bathrooms to guarantee visitors know when they overstayed their welcome and allow me to get back to working on the trains.
I wish that someone would invent an improved filter to go between my mouth and my brain. The one that I have is far too slow, and often fails to prevent me speaking when I should have kept quiet.

but then the tax man would want his slice of your generated revenue.
I would like a union train station depot recording of train arrivals and departures as they were from 1950 to 1960 for cbqburlington milwaukee road hiawatha great northern empire builder for starters.
i can't even find any doing a search on internet or I would make my own.
Some kind of conventional-control transformer that would run everything from postwar to Proto 3.0
