Another favorite of mine is this MTH Proto 2 Pennsy Turbine. See it here pouring clouds of smoke in my basement:

Today I ran a really pristine 226E and a 229 which was equally pristine.  Not my engines, but rather test runs of customer repairs.  It really is fun to run the prewar stuff.  With all of its bang and clang as it goes down the track it is really charming.  My wife really likes the bright colors as well.  The engines were pulling prewar freight cars that I own to really give the full effect.  I will run them again when the customers come to pick up their engines.  They really like the full effect of engine and cars from the same era!

The triple span bridge was scratch built by Steve Kimble who has build several models for my layout. Built out of wood it is 14 ft long  has a curve at one end and is on a 1.8 percent grade. Thanks for asking.

Ran a 1985 vintage CNW GP 7 with an all Atlas passenger train.

We just got the observation car last weekend,  was 2 rail but modified it for 3 rail running.  The geep has a blue tooth speaker in the cab so I can play various horn sounds.

K Line PARR 0-4-0 on the outdoor shelf layout. I was testing a Lionel ZW 250 W transformer I got for a friend this morning from the Kutztown show. Everything worked great, and my friend was thrilled. he will be giving it to his son in law for Christmas. Just by chance, he and I were both at our church dropping off clothing, and he asked me about a ZW. I completely forgot that I was going to the show, but I told him I would check around. Mission complete, in less then 24 hours!

Really like you're train. Is it the camera angle or is it running on really wide radius curve.

Yesterday at an antique mall I bought a Lionel 1665 with a bell ringing tender. Tonight it was busy dinging along the mainline.

None, yesterday-none, this year-none, last year-none. Currently building my new house, way over time and budget. I have a big room for my layout, so I should be running lots of trains later this year, hopefully, because I am still buying them.

Just ran my K line UPs with new LED upgrade to see how it looks with LEDs in the vista dome area also.  Not the right engine but was the easiest to use.  

Then put a different LED into the first Illinois Central K line car to compare. Sure you can figure out which one of the Illinois central cars has LED lighting.  No more flickering

I didn't record the horn sounds because I ran the train at the club and it's  too noisy to hear over the other trains running.

I ran the train at the Chicagoland Lionel Railroad Club.  We have 2 layouts,  connected by a huge lift bridge.  7 separate runs, all have at least 072 and larger curves.

How about a little bit of American Flyer today. Here we have a nicely reconditioned American Flyer K5 Pacific chugging and smoking like only a Flyer engine can as it circles my S Gauge layout loosely patterned after the 1950 American Flyer catalog cover.

Ran my Santa Fe passenger train tonite. It's crossing high trestle after crossing his bridge above my strip mine area.

Morning Milk Train:

Outlasting it’s real life prototype by 40 years a battle scarred and weary Lionel 2332 GG1 from 1947 complete with faded cat’s whiskers still rides the rails.

CNW track inspection car running on the Chicagoland lionel railroad club.

A Postwar Lionel 2321 Lackawanna FM Train Master circa 1955 snakes it’s way through mountain tunnels with a short freight on the Shenandoah Short Line.
