Some of you may recall the model 181st bridge (Bronx NY) I built and posted here.  Well, we've now electrified it and mostly finished the park area we built under it. Still a work in progress, for sure, but this is our first real "diorama" type undertaking and we are pleased with results so far. If you look closely you can see NY harbor in the distance, with the Statue of Liberty and the Twin Towers (in memory of my brother-in-law who was a victim). Hope you like it!

Alan - it's far from the quality of the layouts featured in OG magazine (that give us inspiration) but this is very kind of you, thank you.

The dimensions of the bridge itself are 36" wide by 16" tall.  It's actually somewhat to scale. I studied the architectural blueprints before setting out to do it. I did this because I feel proportion has a lot to do with your eye accepting something as capturing the essence of a thing or not. The depth from front of bridge to back-most corner (the NY skyline) is 24" deep. I tried for "forced perspective" by purposely modeling everything under the bridge in HO scale. I would like to think it has helped add more depth to the scene
