I purchased this Z-Stuff for Trains, just last week and it is on my portable work bench. My objective is to have it all work before I install on the layout.

This photo was just taken about five minutes ago and I have not yet completed this project.

I had a lot of trouble with one of my two crossing gate sets. They would either stay down or stay up or go and and down continuously or be sensitive to apparent voltage spikes due to changing the throttle positions controlling other things.

Solution was to put the gates on their own circuit with their own transformer AND to set it 18-20 volts. It's been working ok for a few months now, but I'm not convinced I'm out of the woods yet--the problem has been very intermittent.

I have some block signals and dwarf signals from Z-Stuff. They work great and all I had to do was connect them to a transformer.

Seems like nice, smooth action.

Mine should be delivered today - can't wait to get home and check them out.

Hi Richie C.

When you receive your Z Stuff Crossing Gates, please feel free to hit me up with an e-mail. We can brainstorm the process together. My e-mail is in my profile.

Look forward to hearing from you: Gary

I have completed the installation of Z-Stuff for Trains, Crossing Gates. (DZ-1010)

This video is a time test on the crossing gates. Checking to see if the gates go down and stay down until the last car in the train passes the railroad crossing. I would recommend this item. Z-Stuff for Trains. DZ-1010 Set. Has two Crossing Gates with a pair of Block Signal Detectors. Green & red lights that are time to both crossing gate signals.

I have a 2 Track Crossing and both track signals are working. I have spoken to Dennis the owner and he is very helpful. It only took him ten minutes to get me up and running. He even gave me some advance tips.

I have several other items from Z-stuff, 3 Color Signal, DZ-1050 & DZ-1040U • Upper Quadrant Flag Signal. All work great.
