Thanks to all who responded to my question regarding northern lights for my Polar Express/Christmas Village. I am going to try a led music controller. It will flash, fade and do other tricks for a led strip of 7 different colors It has output for 3 different led strips. It will also do this by the beat of music, if so desired. It runs on 12 volts. It has a multi-function remote. Very inexpensive.
