Maui?   Hmm.    I own an apartment on the Big Island and do a lot of work at the Kecks. Are you thinking of Mauna Kea?  If so that's the Big Island of Hawaii.

I spend a lot of time in the bush long distance walking, hiking, call it what you want and yes I see lots of snakes but if you don't try to pat them or pick them up they just go away. I spend up to three weeks away sleeping in a tent.

I don't have any fear of them or the rest of the animals.

Australia is not as bad as some people make out.

I have also been in O scale for almost 30 years and never have a problem getting anything I want from America the freight costs you live with eBay works good for me OK so I wait for a couple of weeks doesn't worry me I have parcels arriving all the time and just to put the record straight I am just a working class man not wealthy I don't have lots of brass locos it's all plastic, kits and RTR.

I live in Perth West Australia across the other side of Aust, sunshine for nine months of the year small population, beautiful beaches, huge forests down south, plenty of Bushwalking nice clear skies see all the stars at night a great place to live.

That's me kneeling beside and old boiler from the logging days last year on a walk.

The snake is a very big one could be a tiger snake most likely just a big fat black snake dangerous if you get bitten he just slithered away when he felt my vibrations on the ground the lizard is a goanna they leave you alone lots of them where we walk.

The layout photo is what I call S Brooklyn district it's almost finished just details to be added.

Neville.
