Neat cars, I had no idea anyone made auto model kits that small.

P51,  Revell had a line of 1/48 car and truck kits. I have a Ford F100 and a Mobil Gas truck kit both in 1/48. They made a production run of these 1950s kits in the late 80s - early 90s which is when I got mine. Problem Revell had lost the windshield molds so they included a thin sheet of acetate. Hard to form into a windshield.  I have roughly 50 1/48 scale cars and trucks that took years to collect many were kits from the 50-60s . Also have some 43 but will probably sell most of them. If U.S. O scale model railroaders refused to buy 43rd scale vehicles someone would step in and make 48th scale.   J

I bought these two Marx 200 Pay as you enter trolleys. One last year and the other

earlier this year I think.  I thought the one had a more complete

drive train from blurry pictures. IMG_20180321_171852IMG_20180321_171907IMG_20180321_171927Does anyone have any info or PARTS?

THANKS, JOHN

The Marx 200 windup Trolley came in two versions, one with a battery headlight, one without. I finally found a really nice boxed one on Ebay last year, some photos attached. The lithographed passenger figures in the window are great, as are the box graphics!

Well if it makes you feel any better it was not cheap, but I waited all these years to buy one so I thought I might as well get a good one. And as mentioned that graphic on the box was really neat. Here's the requested pic of the mechanism. It has flanged wheels to it can run on curved two rail O gauge track, or the floor- note the cranked orientation of the non-powered axle. Note also the bell.

John, nice score. Took me a while to track my set down but I wanted 10 cars so I had to find two

If another set comes along, I'll have more of them.  They're hard to find, seems I've been seeing a lots of everything but the Premier sets.  I'd like to have some more to make an impressive consist, time will tell.

If you are looking for another set there is one up on the trainz auction site right now.  It ends on Sunday.  Not sure what the policy is on putting a link in this post.  Just search for this, and it should pop up:

MTH 20-6524 Amtrak 4-Car Superliner Passenger Set LN/Box

I said I'd stop but ... bought an MTH Rail King PRR Industrial Water Tower. Hoping to grab a Lionel Control Tower, and I will be near Olathe next week. They have a Menards, and I'll see what I fly home with from there. At that point, the layout will be cramped full. From there, I go to laying down grass, dirt, and rock along with populating the layout.

While your at Menards don't forget to get more lumber to expand your layout! You know you need to get that done before the wife cuts you off! LOL

Not sure that'll fit on the plane!

I also have the MTH Premier Amtrak Superliners. Great set (but I do need John's conversion to LEDS).

For those hunting, these were re-released in the MTH catalog a year ago and should be showing up sometime this year. I did not research the delivery date. I may get a couple more to add to my consist of 8 passenger cars and Two Amtrak Mail Cars.

Now if I could only find a reasonably priced Santa Fe Superliner set

Good news about the new release, I may have to keep an eye out for those.  Another four cars would make a very nice consist, just about right!

A friend and I are starting to downsize some of our inventory so I went over to see if he had anything I couldn't live without.

I found 6 freight cars that were begging me to take them home.  First was an MTH 40 ft Santa Fe box car.

Then a string with an MTH Milwaukee Rd gondola that has been weathered, two Atlas Milwaukee RD outside-braced box cars (also weathered), and an Atlas double-door C&NW box car.

And finally an Atlas 8,000 gal tank car lettered for Staley in Decatur, IL that can service liquid corn syrup to my Wonder Bread bakery.
