Thought I would share here a quick video I did on my latest project, customizing two MTH Premier USRA 0-8-0 switchers. Unfortunately no one has made these models in Rutland although they had two. So I took matters into my own hands and couldn’t be happier with the results given it was my first shot at a project like this. Thank you to @Former Member for the Rutland inspiration and guidance along the way.

Eric, great job with your 0-8-0s!   They look fantastic and I really enjoyed your video - very informative. Your layout looks great too.  I couldn’t help but To notice the wood water tower.  Can you share more about that?

Thank you Scott. It was built from a kit by my grandfather. The kit was part of a logging camp and sawmill package offered many years ago. In some of my expansion update videos I have more footage of the water tower, sawmill, and logging camp.

Nice Job Eric. By doing 2. You’ve got the entire fleet of 0-8-0’s covered. It’s a fun road to model with a lot of information available. Not a lot of variety in the prototype and even though not much has been factory made. What will work is affordable and there has been a lot done recently with decals. Protocraft, Tichy and Highball Graphics will cover pretty much any project.
I recently was in need of an engine set from Highball Graphics. I noticed they had added a set for flatcars and older wooden  gondolas in the other scales. I inquired and they now have a set in O. The Weaver 40 ft. wooden gons were close to what the Rutland ran on many jobs and they were run right into the 50’s.
