Help needed for wiring

The AC or DC is the type of power you're supplying to the unit.  I'm assuming the MTH control block is connected to the transformer, therefore you'd use the AC instructions. 

If you have some other configuration, more information will be helpful.

The control block connects to the MTH TIU and yes it is AC.

Problem solved, wire it to the 18V AC supply.  You can either wire it to the track or an accessory transformer.  If you're connecting it to the TIU, I'd probably prefer the input side, as some products may have capacitors that will affect the DCS signal at the output side.  If you're concerned about DCS and want to wire to the track, use a 22uh choke in series with one of the power leads.
