Merry Christmas to all...

here's my brother-in-law's Lionel train he received in 1949...he gave it to me a few years back prior to his passing...i promised him it would be well taken care of and was safe with me...this picture was taken in 2011...the train still runs...the houses are ones i have made over the years...

Not mine but this Santa Fe G gauge was at Bellagio with a POV camera.

The first pictures are our yearly Christmas tree and Lionel train.

The last 2 pictures are the Polar Express layout built this year.

Quick Update:  to my surprise, I received a package from Trainworld today, after not hearing back from them over 3 weeks as to its where abouts.  I had assumed the order lost and cancelled.  Well, the Golden Goose finally landed!  My kids and I could not be more excited!  The final pieces to this years Christmas Tree lay out!  BELIEVE!!!

That's awesome John! I really want one of those hero boy's houses. Very cool!

Wyatt, the trouble I went through to get this little house this year makes it that much more special.  So much that i'm ending up with two, because again, Trainworld dropped the ball on the order, so I ordered it from another vendor.  Turns out, the 2nd vendor shipped it to Pennsylvania.....when im located in Oregon.  All I can do is laugh at this point

Man, that's An expensive goof! Lol

Wow!  That will be excellent!!

Finally took a pair of photos of my third layout which is a lot smaller than normal because of "Mount Saint Crapola"...

...that would be the big pile of garage sale items stacked in space that would normally be filled with standard gauge.  That's a Lionel Large Scale NYC Atlantic sharing floor space with the 2 Modern Toys locos by the way.  Hey!  Did you notice my vintage command control remote? 

Doesn't affect the clockwork layout!  And I still get to run my standard gauge!

I wanted to post a short video clip of our train under our tree, is anyone else having problems posting a video? It keeps saying there was a problem with the site and the site has been reloaded. 

Christmas 2016

This train is under my daughter and her fiance's tree.  It was the childhood set of her babysitters husband.  He had given them to me (with boxes - poor condition).  It is a Lionel 248 with two 529s and a 530.  No real market value but the memories associated with it are priceless.

Wyatt's Dad: Yes, there have been browser and OS updates and things are "iffy" here too. I can load, but cant watch a video; not even one I load. Make sure you are updated, try again, and maybe wait for things to sort themselves out more.

Had an early surprise Christmas present from my Wife. The location of the apartment we are staying in. 

We got the tree up. More pics to follow.

Anyone recognise the bridge behind the tree ;-)

Sawdust, What a charming photo.  That is one of the few classy classic photos I have seen.  I love it and it truly captures the love of toy trains under the Christmas tree.  Those glitterhouses and black and white photo are perfect.  Thanks for sharing.

I have to wonder... Did we run out of things to post? Or is the attachment tool and full composing screen stuck for this thread? Other threads it is working, but not here. Here it seems to be limited to text only now. Too much video for a portable device? It 's all that bridges fault I haven't been able to get an attachment tool to show since the last time I posted. The videos won't play and the composing toolbar never loads. The issue don't exist in other threads. I blame it on the bridge Kinda hoping a new page might start to clear it up too

Its also eliminating carriage returns. Like its trying to save space?
