Just wondering if anyone is aware of a definitive online listing of all the locomotives and rolling stock that has featured the Lionel Lines livery?  I have tried google imaging LL livery, LL road name etc and keep getting a heap of extraneous garbage.  I have gathered a fairly large collection, have just added this years lcca convention switcher, and would like to get a solid idea of what is out there.  I am heading over to the US for 3 weeks in October and would love to have a LL shopping list with me, it will be a chance to fill in the blanks without the high shipping cost to Australia.

cheers

Thanks Nick, that was one source I was aware of, in fact it is the driving force behind my collecting the Lionel Lines pieces.  I have a colour copy of that article with just about everything ticked off.  I have noticed several pieces on online auction sites that were not included in that article, so was hoping someone may have filled in the blanks.  Pieces like the LRRC orange/blue/cream rolling stock from the last few years (Ihave the tanker on flat car, have never seen the tank or box car for sale online), some of the blue/grey pieces (railscope loco, F3?, etc).  I saw a picture of a lionel 6-18350, never even knew this existed, hence the hope somebody has done a definitive piece.

cheers

RE: Lionel Lines.

One thing to keep in mind (I think you allude to this in your last post). In addition to all of the Lionel Lines items produced in the past for traditional Lionel locos and rolling stock, you can also find this labeling used for some of the Lionel Corporation Tinplate (LCT) products that have been released in the last few years. Example: I have repro tinplate passenger cars sets with the classic “Lionel Lines” name.

Now that is impressive. I can't even imagine taking on a project like that..

Not sure if you're counting all the peripheral stuff made over the past 40 years by Corgi, Eastwood and others but the list has to be real long.

I don't have many modern era Lionel pieces, maybe six total if that.

This guy below is my favorite.

Joe, I have to agree, that is one mighty impressive locomotive and one I am pleased to have in my collection.

Ed h, I would love to see that complete list you are alluding to.  Will have to see if I can find a copy of the Greenbergs guide mentioned.  Does it include colour pictures of the items?

So far I have all the diesels listed in the TCA article including the sets, all the visitor centre rolling stock, and probably 75% of the other rolling stock, I have not bothered chasing things like wheaties boxcars, university boxcars etc.  I also have the green/white/red loco/4 tank cars/caboose set.  I often see black steamers with Lionel Lines on them, more interested in diesels, more my era, but have considered the scout and a couple of other brighter livery steam trains as possible museum pieces for the layout.  I just seem to keep seeing some new piece I was unaware of all the time.

Were the 2009 LRRC tank car and 2007 LRRC boxcar only made in small numbers?  They never appear for sale and I would love to have them for my 2007 GP9.

cheers
