I needed to make a custom cut on my inside loop to allow more clearance in the curves. I used a dremel and got the cut done. But now I can’t figure out the best way to get the rail joiners to fit back together. I can see the problem being the ties on the cut piece don’t allow them to slide over top. I just don’t know how to remedy that without completely cutting that tie out (which I don’t want to do).

Any help is appreciated.

The overengineered solution is to buy a pack of atlas #96057 end ties and replace the last 3 ties.
You can pick off the spike but the tie plate is gonna hold the rail up with the joiner under it. If you can slide that last tie out and file it flat on top, or better, dremel out a space for the joiner under the rail in the top of the tie.
If it was me, I’d cut it off and slide a piece of wood under it after it’s all in place.
