Since there was no "new" ex railking tooling LC 2.0 in the last catalog I'm hoping for E8's and PRR MP54 MUs.
I'd love to see some E or F units in Lionchief 2.0.
Since they have been making so many Amtrak engines in Lionchief 2.0, I'd like to see them make the 13 inch passenger cars that were in the 2024 vol. 1 catalog in Amtrak, with the 50th anniversary logos.

A few freight and passenger cars and a couple complete sets with loco. These complete sets are always interesting as they usually offer a great set for a pretty decent price. I really want to see either NS or BNSF executive trains with modern diesels. The NS being pulled by a SD60E (which we haven’t seen SD60E tooling for some time) or a BNSF with an ES44 pulling.
I've got a single BNSF ET44C4 on order, and I can't wait either.
I like your idea of the executive trains, especially the BNSF version. My new ET44C4 would be perfect for pulling a BNSF executive train.
A modern freight set with the ET44 (especially a UP or BNSF version) should be made, too. I would totally buy that, too. We need some modern freight cars with Freightsounds. Maybe the new Hotbox Reefer features could be added to a modern 57' mechanical reefer. Some 30K gallon tank cars or modern boxcars with Freightsounds are needed, too.
Modern freight cars with any sounds would be great. I would love to see an ethanol train be issued so I can finish out my ethanol cars.
i wish semi scale stuff would get the same love this year as the scale stuff and i wish the book was flipped with semi scale taking center stage
the scale guys and rivet counters get everything they can imagine and i wish traditional got a piece of the pie and could get all the advancements and variety that scale does

You’re not missing anything, half the scale stuff has issues. I personally like both and run both.
I would order a Burlington Route (CB&Q) 2-6-2 Prairie steam locomotive.
I would also order a Burlington Route H&StJ (Hannibal & Saint Joseph) #35 “Missouri” 4-4-0 American steam locomotive. The original is on display in the Patee House Museum in Saint Joseph MO.

Agreed! Currently have a JLC GG1 with dead trucks..... not sure if people will spend 1000 more for a visionline vs a JLC however haha. I do know that Hennings will be producing replacements soon.

I noticed the head photo on the Lionel Newsletter wishing a Happy 4th looked like a MTH 'Crocodile"...is that a hint they may be producing European models from MTH tooling? I have to admit my eye sight she's-a -not so good, (it could be a bi-polar, I guess) but boy I sure would jump on a European steamer if they released one or more.

I also have Sunset-3RD Rail’s CB&Q 4-6-4 Hudson #3007 & 2-8-2 Mikado #4978, which are very detailed brass models of their respective prototype locomotives.
Although based on Lionel’s generic tooling, I also have Lionel’s CB&Q 4-6-4 Hudson #3007 & 2-8-2 Mikado #4978. These die-cast generic versions run on tighter curves and can better withstand and accidental kick under the Christmas Tree than the 3RD Rail versions. Had Lionel made their generic tooled die-cast models first, then I may have not purchaed the brass 3RD Rail versions.

Hoping that will be the case for a 4-8-4.
They need to finally produce gondolas built between 1970 and 2000 by Evans Products, Greenville Steel Car Co., Ortner, Pullman-Standard, and Thrall Car for numerous railroads.
These modern gondolas can made out of folded and stamped sheets of metal, the same metal used to produce sardine cans.
They could laser cut and laser weld sheets and shapes of aluminum or stainless steel to create more gondola variety.

It would be an "eye opener" if Lionel came out with a hybrid pacific for the PRR K2sd/and/or K3/and/or K5 models.
There is a new Transformers movie coming out later this year so I'll once again hope for a Transformers collab train set. It doesn't have to go all out like the Tyco Transformers set from the 80s where the caboose could turn into a fighter jet, an Autobot or Decepticon (or both) themed train with a Deluxe class figure of Either Optimus or Megatron riding on flatbeds would suffice.
I want to see a Legacy RS3 for under 700 bucks.
Not sure about the release date yet but I do know we’re getting more SD70ACe’s since we got the ES44Ac in V1.
I would love Lionel to do a modern “Grain Train” set. I see a lot of them on the BNSF where I live and I’d love to have a model of that as a LEGACY set with add on cars, including one with a F.R.E.D.
I would like a 5-yr. warranty on all Legacy items, and 3-yr. on everything else

Sounds like Sara is more than sure these locomotives will be in the catalog.
METCA already announced two SD70ACE custom runs, so SD70ACEs are definitely in the catalog. But that was already a given based on the current rotation of ES44s and SD70s in every other catalog and the need to finish out the Norfolk Southern heritage units and then get back to the CSX heritage ES44s

The recent NS Heritage models with the glossy paint have ruined the flat plasticy look of my other diesels for me The glossy paint gives it a metal look and feel I wish all my locos were like this or it was an option to order them this way I have no interest in weathering my stuff, so I may be in the minority here,..
