I had to send my newer (2012) Legacy base and cab 2 to Lionel to repair sticky boost/break control. In the meantime, I installed and restored an older Legacy base (2007). Initially operated O.K. on version 1.4. Upgraded base and cab 2 to v 1.52 and started having problems with lashups (TR). Intermittently, when operating a lashup (TR), the cab 2 will start beeping, red l.e.d. flashes ... the engines in the lashup stop, horns/whistle sound and lights flicker. Here is a list of symptoms:
1. Affects both Legacy Engine lashups and TMCC engine lashups
2. Changing the TR number on the cab 2 stops the problem, return to original lashup TR number and it will run, sometimes up to 1/2 hour, before the problem reoccurred.
3. Does not make any difference if I am holding the cab 2 or it is sitting on the train table, problem still occurs at random intervals
4. TMCC base (connected through Legacy base) and cab 1 work O.K. with lashups (and all other functions)
5. I am not experiencing any problems with any other Legacy or TMCC functions.
6. I tried returning to v 1.4, but the cab 2 would not work at all. Reinstalled v 1.52 and problem returned as described
Although the Legacy base I am currently using was one of the original batch, it was upgraded by Lionel and the cab 2 was replaced by Lionel a couple of years ago. Any thoughts on what I could try next?
