SIRT, please put your comments outside of my quote box.

Just an FYI and something I would like to be fixed.  When using an iPad to reply while quoting a previous post, if anything is changed inside the quote (for example, text and pictures are deleted), I have found it impossible to get the cursor back out of the quote box.  I have had to cancel reply’s and make certain to type my reply before deleting anything from the quote box.  Maybe this is what happened with SIRT’s reply.

Same exact thing happens to me. I have to do the same thing as you. It can be frustrating.

I wouldn't mind a steam locomotive with a fallen flag roadname from Canadian history.  PEI, Intercolonial, Canadian Northern (or any of its vast inventory of railways), Northern Alberta, or even Dominion Atlantic.

Canadian National, Canadian Pacific, and BC Rail are basically defaults on the market when it comes to Canadian pickings and VIA Rail is scarcely done by Lionel (if at all).

But at least sell interchangeable road plates/tendercar sides (either blank or pre-printed) as that's an easy close second to do

I love all Canadian road names. I'm not Canadian but being half French Canadian I have strong emotional ties. Besides that,  many of these past and current Canadian lines and their subsidiaries cross over into the New England area where I live.

Let's see... Lionel should stick closer to doing obscure road names, and I have some choices for steam engines.

1. A full scale version of the DT&I Berk using the chassis for its B&A and B&M Berkshires. The actual engines themselves are tragically underrated in my opinion. dti-s701ggD

2. Cotton Belt 819 using the Santa Fe 3751 or old Rock Island Northern tooling.

819-M

3. Wabash 4-8-4

wab2904

4. Thomas' Duck the Great Western Engine!Buzz,Buzz17

5. Plus, his real life counterpart. Duck'sbasis

6. Bill and Ben

ERTLBill&BenTradingCard

7. Not to mention proper DT&I cabooses, too! tdcabdti77a19890507FR-1024x685

My wish for the next catalog are as follows.

1. Works correctly out of the box, no loose pieces floating around in the box

2. Correctly painted, accurate representation of what they are trying to model

3. Knuckle couplers that work

4. No cheap *** assembly like what we got from that factory in Vietnam with the two bay hoppers

5. Back to paint, no chipping paint like what we got with the milk cars on the door hinges.

Is that to much to ask for????

Its never to early to put a bug in Lionel's ear for the upcoming catalogs.

So, I would like to see:

- some more SD70ace's or SD70M's with Central Maine and Quebec paint scheme. See the pictures. The Central Maine and Quebec is owned by the Canadain Pacific.

- GP9s in Providence and Worcester paint.

Any of the above locomotives in a Lionel Lines paint (which always looks good)

More Lion chief or Legacy locomotives that can negotiate an O-36 curve.

If we infer this is about Vol 2 for 2021, when is the expected release date?  Would be something nice to look forward to, since Mike is depriving us the pleasure and anticipation for the MTH catalogs.

Long Island RR tichy scheme H16-44. (With Modified handrail tooling)

Long Island RR blue & yellow alco S2 & grey/ orange

Long Island RR “steel thruway to the fair gateway” 21” worlds fair cars

Long island 18” “cannonball” blue & grey parlor cars with station sounds diner

Vision 700E Hudson re-issue with boiler speaker & reciprocating cylinders.

Vision Dreyfuss Hudson w/ multiple drive wheel configurations, normal & PT tenders w/ water scoop effect & correctly tooled 20th century Ltd cars 1938 & 1940

Vision CC2 re-issue with boiler speaker & a fantasy Tuscan scheme. Yes I think a Tuscan CC2 would be amazing!

Vision line PRR T1 (new tooling 6110 & 6111 skirted prototypes, unskirted w/ portholes & unskirted W/O portholes.

PRR K4 in multiple variations & Brass Hybrid PRR K5 (add swinging bell)

SP AC12 cab forward re-issue. SP/ SP lines & SP grey boiler with red cab roof. (Maybe add some vision features like a speaker in the boiler & road specific crew talk)

Vision (or at least road specific crew talk & a speaker boiler) Y6b with brass hybrid y6a, vision coal hopper cars (freight sounds, loading/ unloading sound sequence) & die cast water tenders with freight sounds & engine maintenance dialog, plus a very nicely detailed caboose.

I don’t want all this in the next catalog, just one or 2 pieces, but this is my long term 5 year Lionel wish list.

Bonus: Vision line Thomas the tank engine!!!

Please Lionel, a Canadian Pacific SD70ACU in the CORRECT military tribute camo paint scheme. Please DON"T make it in the hideous day-glo florescent colors that the other train company did.

As a military veteran and Canadian Pacific fan, I would be proud to own this locomotive.

100% agree. I also hope if Lionel does make these, they use the SD90MAC long hood rather than the SD70ACe like MTH did. I'll also throw in a vote for the CN military tribute units. I know Lionel has the ET44AC model in traditional size, but it would be nice to see one made in scale size as well.

Rob

1. Legacy F40 and Cabbage re-run

2. Legacy Hudsons w/whistle steam that aren't New York Central. So much to choose from. ATSF 3460s would get orders, as would New Haven I5 Shoreliners and Milwaukee F7s. Wabash P1s and Lackawanna M1s could be a surprise success.

3. Legacy Santa Fe 3400 class heavy Pacifics w/whistle steam, based on their later appearance as rebuilt with disc drivers (see ATSF 3415)
