This would 100% be my luck. I’ve clamored for a scale PolEx freight steamer in every catalog wish list thread for the past several years. It would be fitting if they finally offer it in a model that’s too big for my layout…..
As an aside, I’ve asked multiple times about a custom run and the answer seems to always come back that PolEx stuff is different from a licensing standpoint and, as a result, a non-starter as a custom run.

All this talk of a Polar Express Big Boy has me thinking of something a bit more out of this world, figuratively and literally.

Yes it's somehow still a steam locomotive.

A Polar Express Big Boy might not be possible, but a Polar Railroad Big Boy just may be doable. If it was a LionMaster version I could be tempted, so long as the smoke box isn’t painted bright red (or anything other than black).
Better yet a Dreyfuss scheme for NYC on a big boy!👍👍👍
Something different, so I would like some Florida East Coast since they have converted many of their loco's to natural gas. ES-44CR #812 and #810 would be great, but especially that natural gas railcar #312, perhaps built as a super bass.

Hopeful someone will make the natural gas railcar. The ones that have been done in HO are incredible.

They promised the BNSF LNG fuel tender a couple years ago, but then again they promised the full American Freedom Train 7 years ago...

The more recently promised Friendship Train seems to be fading into memory as well. I would like to see more of it, as promised when we bought the original installments.

Agreed, Paul. Using nothing more than Google (I assume there are even better printed references out there), one can find photos of other boxcars (and even some engines - I found a cab forward) decorated for The Friendship Train beyond what has already been made. In other words, there is plenty of source material for Lionel to add to the collection if they’d commit to it. The prototype is a cool piece of history and the Lionel scale PS-1 boxcars are some of my favorite pieces of rolling stock, so I hope it’s not been abandoned.
Yep ill take one of each dreyfuss and a set of passenger cars please. NYC green e8 also!

Someone at LIONEL forgot that they had produced a version of the SD70M with flared radiators.
The UNION PACIFIC SD70M locomotive was the only model they made with the flared radiators.

I’d preorder a GP38-2 in CSX and NS.
Assuming that Central Pacific Gold Rush starter set gets made. I'd really like them to expand the offerings for that particular Road Name. When I was much younger one of my HO sets was the Bachmann Central Pacific freight set.
Now that the wait is over for a Legacy Dreyfus Hudson ( I preordered mine) I would like a legacy NY Central T motor electric locomotive so we move our Twentieth Century Passenger train in and out of Grand Central Terminal I know MTH released this engine but I don’t believe Lionel ever did

A newly tooled Legacy Alco HH660 would be awesome! I’d be in for one in Maine Central/Portland Terminal livery.
Although it was in the previous catalog at Springfield Lionel had a pre production sample of the greenbrier c&o locomotive that looked great
Western Maryland 1309 LionMaster or something that operates on O-42 minimum.
