I think the request was to post a photo of Scott's model of the streamlined P7D not the prototype. I never knew it was made either. Would love to see how it turned out.
A Norfolk Southern GE B23-7 high nose.
I think the Streamlined B&O P-7 would be a MUST have... put me down for one of those if ever offered...
Also, would be cool to see the T&P 4-8-2
the CV 2-10-4
Modernized 1929 Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific R67 - multiple paint schemes
Sunset / 3rd Rail has not offered the B&O Royal Blue P-7. What was offered was the streamlined Cincinnatian P-7d locomotive at the same time the P-7e was offered. The Royal Blue train has been cancelled, and a 1950's version of the Capitol Limited is being offered instead.
The Cincinnatian was made by Weaver 2 and 3 rail. I have a two rail

I wonder if the Royal Blue train did not get enough interest BECAUSE the ENGINE was not offered... If a Royal Blue was offered, i would order it TODAY.
BTW... I added my name to the NYC H10 2-8-2s the other day, hope they get made and NOT CANCELED like the L-2D Mohawks... I held off on Buying a Lionel L2A because I REALLY wanted an L2D from 3rd Rail, but not enough reservations at the time... But still hopeful 3rd Rail will unshelve the Mohawk in the future.
CB&Q S-4A Aeolus Never made in 3rail.
Wabash P1 Hudson. Lionel made it in 0-27 in the 90s.... and perhaps a Banner Blue car set to go with?

Nice ones Rob! I'd buy those!

How about a photo of the model??? I'm starting to wonder if this thing actually exists...
AEOLUS S-4A HAS MY VOTE AND WAS TALKED ABOUT AT THE CHICAGO O SCALE MEET EARLIER THIS YEAR

Lionel's model was basically a repainted Postwar NYC Hudson with added smoke deflectors.
MTH made a more accurate version in their RailKing Line. MTH screen shot:

I assume you will be at the Cleveland meet in November? If so I will bring my Sunset model to prove it exists or you can e-mail Scott Mann and ask him. That would be even better than me bringing my locomotive just to prove it was made. sdmann@3rdrail.com. Check out Rex's earlier post on this topic. He purchased a Sunset / 3rd rail version of the Cincinnatian. There were 50 of them made.

I too would like to see the Wabash Hudson, but... like most other passenger engines, I think the project would draw a better demand if a complementing passenger train was also introduced. Even if the passenger cars came at a later date.
I now have two sets of beautiful E6 passenger units waiting for something to pull. Not ready to sell, but I won't wait forever. No more passenger units (steam or diesel) unless a rake of cars is available or will be available.

Curious to know who would be interested in an AT&SF 2900 class 4-8-4? I have an MTH model that I am ready to jettison because I have already upgraded it from PS1 to PS2 and I am not willing to upgrade it again. What say you? As a person who should be satisfied with all the fine models I have, this offering would put me over the edge. An offering of AT&SF FP45's to go with my GGD El Cap would further tempt me.

3rd Rail already made an AT&SF 2900 class Northern a few years ago.

Rob,
Just like Luke said, 3rd Rail already did the ATSF 2900 class... So FAR, Sunset has not chosen to RE-DO models, such as Lionel and MTH do - but that is not to say that perhaps one day they might - would be interesting to see a re-do. After all, Golden Gate depot is doing their 2nd run of the Broadway Limited, Daylight, and the 1948 20th Century Limited - so like James Bond, never say never.
BUT... more likely, would be Sunset to do the 3776 class engines. I know I had been talking to Scott via email back and forth at the time the 2900 class was being announced, and he had shown some interest in announcing it. And I remember he told me, " But not before the 2900 class gets done."
Would be awesome to see 3776 class, with and without steam domes and modified check valves, etc. Twin-beam, and single beam headlights, etc.

Thank you for the responses to my question. The 2929 production predates my membership to the forum, as I also display my lack of ability to research an inquiry. If these models ever come up at auction, I am missing that as well.

R. Heil,
I believe both you and Rex about this engine. All I would like is to see some pics from anyone just to admire it as I was under the impression Scott cancelled the P7d due to lack of interest and just made the P7e's. Also, I too will be at the Cleveland show so if you would be kind enough to bring it, I would love to see it in person. If not, no problem either way and I'm happy to know there is an alternative to the Weaver version.

I've yet to see a 3rd Rail 2900 come up on any of the auction sites. The 3751 class comes up regularly.
If you really want a 3rd Rail 2900 class I'd suggest posting in the want to buy section of the forum.
