Yesterday on my way to a family party I stopped at the Hess gas station to fill up and I bought the 2014 truck for my nephew "Yes; and one for me too" I noticed the size is closer to O gauge than the usual 1/64th size they offer. I put it on the layout and it fit right in with the rest of my cars and trucks!  $7.99 each with illuminated headlights and tail lights with the Hess logo on the doors lit as well.    Just a heads up if you want to check it out.

Surely nobody has to say on a "tinplate" train forum that 1/64th is 3/16 scale is S

gauge, the scale of American Flyer trains (after WWII) , and 25% too small to be used on O scale layouts except to visually imply distance in the background.  I can't now think of that other brand of 1/64th trucks that were once available. (of course, most

of us are using OVERrsized 1/43rd model vehicles, so....what the hey?)
