I was hitting a few golf balls around noon today,generally trying to sharpen my game for a weekend outing,and as I looked up I saw the Circus Train heading west through Turtle Creek. I missed the motive power,but,there was no mistaking the silver coaches with red banners announcing the P.T. Barnum Circus. After the coaches cames the colorful carts,trucks,cars and miscellaneous items. This was a long train moving westward.

I always head into town when the circus train arrives in Columbus. Its always a big show when they unload the elephants and the big guys get a sheriff escort to the convention center.
Was painting out back at Hanover Brands in Bloomsburg, PA when I saw my first and only circus train. It was all white decked out in Barnum and Baily signage. I was enthralled. This, however, was in the 1970's.
There is just something special about the circus and a circus train. Brings out the kid in all of I guess.

When I worked for NY city I used to see the circus train come into Hunters Point. They would unload the elephants and walk them through the Midtown Tunnel.
