Here is my switcher an old Lionel 8111 DT&I which I added ac commander and railsounds to. Being a AC/DC engine there is extra wires to the motor that you have to just unhook and tape up hard to explain but there is a set from the winding that is twisted together which on mine was red and green you just have to unhook them then the other two you still use as normal. Think these Pics are befor the conversion as the E-unit isn't in there anymore. I did repaint the frame but that was it this still has a very good shine to it and it appeared that it was used very little when I got it.

S2 2337 sits between signals on a leg of the wye at Kistler, idling unevenly, rattling its hood doors, and sending a lazy wisp of smoke skyward.  The switcher crew has just spotted cars at Gray Elevator and Boethe Beef Packing, on the Caprock Industrial Spur.  The signal will be red for a while, as time freight 581 is on the approach circuit to Caprock.  Engineer Bob Muller has pulled out his Thermos and poured coffee into Dixie cups from the water cooler, and the crew is enjoying a mid morning lift.
