tmcc mod for pw 3454 car

I've put it into a Milk car, the log dump car, and the barrel car.  I'm sure the ERR Milk Car Kit would work fine for the Merchandise Car.  I have one, just never got around to putting TMCC into it.

thanks for your reply.  i have several of the first issue err minicommanders.  will they handle the solenoid?   specs say 2amps momentary.

The Milk Car kit put a really large triac on one channel to handle the big solenoid, so I'm guessing since the Merchandise Car has a similar solenoid, you'd probably want that one.  It has a big 80A triac instead of the 4A ones that are on the standard MC.

As you can see, there's a significant difference.  I believe the larger triac was added when the Milk car kept cooking the little ones.

do you think the 4a could be replaced by the 8a on the standard mc board without a gating problem.  thanks

i have several of the standard mc.  bought them when err had a sale on them.

It's probably worth a try, it doesn't look like there's anything else changed on the board, though I didn't do an exhaustive search.
