"I would plan on a may 7th or 8th departure from Cheyenne or even earlier . I'm sure they have to arrive or be displayed in Ogden by the 9th. A display tour will follow some time later that year "around the system" is what is planned for now. The shakedown runs will take place between the fall of this year(earliest) and early spring next year, was the last we heard."

That makes sense. They were targeting that time window on the restoration when they pulled 4014 out of the Fairgrounds. Rumor has it that 4014 may be making an appearance in Los Angeles during the 2019 LA County Fair (they even had a banner saying so when it was at the back of the parking lot), but that may have been wishful thinking.
Good to hear this. Are there any updates on how the 4014 reassembly is progressing?

Nope. Painted right on the side of the locomotive cab will be 4014. No different than #844 or #3985. Besides, that "UPP" designation is for Passenger Assigned Equipment, and NOT locomotives.
