Peter,

Did you ever have the opportunity to see this scene in person?

Lou N

Lou........I’m not sure where it is.......I suspect coming out of South Station.....but have no idea.....I have emailed the pic to Mary Fitzhenry (I’m sure he’ll know)... but, if you know, please tell me......

Though I grew up in the McGinnis color era, I just love that Hunter Green!

Peter,  I wish I could tell you where that is.  I'm a Cleveland kid and I never made it up to New England until the 1990's.  Besides the Hunter Green paint job, its the semaphore signal bridge that got my undivided attention.  Still looking for a blueprint of the short blade NH semaphores.  I would like to try to do some 3D printing of them, just to have an example.

Jeff C, I was wondering how the kit was going to look with the outside bordello stairs running down into the pool room but once you added the roof it's all very cohesive. Great work.

Patrick do you make the fireman driving the fire truck?

Thanks.   It could be built as 2 buildings or 1.  Yorke designed it to be built primarily as 2 attached buildings.  It’s kind of cool, as one can look into the window and see the top of the stairs and the door headed into the bordello.  I guess the idea is play some pool, then head up into the bordello....lol

The photo is definitely taken at Boston's South Station.  There are many famous photos of the tower, signal bridge and complex interlocking leading into the station platforms.  I have never been to Boston but I have seen the photos.

Who made that building in the middle with the rounded corner?

I made that building. The building is made of false fronts. I don't remember the manufacturer but they offered a number of false fronts and a corner piece. On the right side is a false front theater with a marque. I lighted the marque with fiber optics and a chase light circuit. the side facing the camera is, I think, two false fronts. These are connected with the corner piece. The right side alley is two short (~4") pieces and the rear is made of foam board since it can't be seen. Here are some pictures of the building.
