"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" Lee. If I could only be Jack Benny's age again. Hope you get all you want.

Johan, now I see why the crew emptied the yard. To make way for the new freight cars. I like the trailer on flat car.

Mike g, you're an inspiration to all of us to get going on our layouts. Really looking great.

Today after mulling it over I decided to go with two uncoupling tracks and no extra switches. Got the track down and all I have left to do is drill holes and screw down the track. The smaller uncoupling track sitting near the switch I decided to put it in at the other end of the outer track. All and all a good morning. Maybe this afternoon I should try to figure out where I can put all the stuff sitting behind the track LOL.  Pics............Paul 2

Bob, Thank you! The Coors train is by MTH RailKing. I got the set from Larry Sr. about 2 years ago! As for your passengers you can always swap them out also! LOL Would be a good project on a cold night!

Lee D, Thank you and Happy Birthday! I will post something on Saturday! But be nice as I am a virgin to the SWSAT Group! LOL

Johan, Very cool! Nice work on both the trailer and the flat car! They both look perfect!

JGTRH62, Great scene! Thanks for the nice comments!

Lew, Thanks for the information, I have truly learned something today! I have never seen a calf like that before. Just the 4 legged ones! LOL

Brian, Thank you it really means a lot coming from you! Wonderful Photos! You never fail to put something up that is intriguing !

Bill, I love all the work you do, but you really need to layoff the caffeine! LOL

Paul 2 ,Thank you Sir! It is all of you here that keep me going! You are really doing some wonderful track work! I sure hope you will do a video of that area in action some day!

Well I didn't get much done on the layout today as I worked on my golf cart most of the day. I have to make sure its running great. In December we have a Christmas parade where people dress up there golf carts and drive around the neighborhood.

But I did get a little done. One of the cars for my Coors train not in the picture had a broken truck do to my bad packing after taking it out for photos 2 years ago. Briansilvermustang has stepped up and offered me a replacement truck! The Picture below is for his reference.

But I do have another quest. I was wondering if any of you good folks have an extra engine charger for MTH PS2 engines. I don't want to leave the transformer on for 7 hours like they say to do to charge it on the track!

Well there wont be any work in the train room for the next 2 day as I have to work. But I will be back at it Friday! I hope you all have a great night and a wonderful day tomorrow!IMG_20191029_123304962IMG_20191029_123314058IMG_20191029_123724452_HDR

I fixed all my switches!!  Thank you Mr. Greenberg.  They all had the same solder joint broken.  Before I could test, Mrs. CFO wanted to go to Lowes.  No argument from me.  We got what she wanted and I got a mess of #6 x 1 1/4 wood screws to fasten down my switch controllers.  When I got back on the mountain, I had a badly crushed box shoved in my mail box.  I got LEDs for all my O22 switches.  Only one broke bulb.  I have been waiting three weeks for these.  The seller was slow to deliver and rude in emails and on the phone.  I will pay more to buy somewhere else.  A quick bite of cold pizza and back to the train building.  My switch engine did the track testing, then both #1055 Texas Specials came out for more "don't tag".  I've got to video that.  I noticed last night that a light was out in one of my passenger cars.  I brought it to the big house for evaluation.  You have all been busy today.  Great work gang.

Mark, I retired three times before it stuck.  Enjoy.

Johan, we get snow about as often as you get hurricanes.  While working in New York, I saw enough snow for a lifetime.

Mike G, your good work deserves a train load of cold refreshments.

Vincent,  That pirate ship would make a great hood ornament too.

I stopped in a new antique shop about 15 miles from here.  They have a very old RR cross buck I think I need.  One with the cats eye jewels.  It would look great on the train building.

Bill

Well Bill, this was number two for me!

Great looking crossbuck!  You NEED it!!!

Mark, enjoy your retirement and while you have elderly relatives to look out for, take care of yourself too. In reality all too soon you too will be at their stage and age in life so take the time now to enjoy your life. Btw, I speak from experience.

Thank you!!  I have thought of that many times.  Mum and Dad are 26 years older than me, and my mother-in-law only 20.  My father-in-law retired on his 62nd birthday.  With his health issues, I doubt he could have lasted to retire at 65.  He passed on at 75.

WOW- I just checked the forum yesterday evening. Everyone's getting busy on their layouts. You can tell the cold weather is setting in.....

A big congratulations to Mark Boyce. Enjoy your retirement and your trains.

Mike- That Coors train is SHARP! Great colors and the calf unit is a nice bonus. Who made the set?

Paul2- I have the same storage problem on a smaller scale. I've run out of places to stash stuff too. I started swapping out engines and rolling stock last night and had to pack 5 diesels away in a box because my display shelves are full.

Johan- Why am I craving french fries??????

Vincent- Great looking Pirate ship. You mentioned Thomas trains the other day. I've got a ton of the Tyco Thomas stuff with the blue plastic track and switches. We bought them when my son was little and he (we) really had fun with them.

Bill- that's a great looking cross buck. Glad you got your switches fixed.

Matt and Number 90- clean track makes for a happy layout.

As I mentioned I started swapping out equipment last night. I will be running in a New York state of mind for a while. A couple of weeks ago @Leroof started a thread looking for a K-line Greenport Scoot set. I posted pix of mine and after some back and fourth, it appears that the passengers in my coaches are not original to the set. I always thought they looked out of scale (and they are). So I opened one up last night. These look like the cheap imports. Still happy with the set though.

Have a train-filled day everyone!

I found this guy on the floor in the back of the car. He must have hit the bar car pretty hard on the 5:12 out of Penn.

Thank you, Bob!!  The passengers look great!!

Best of B’days Lee!

I too always got a birthday pie 🥧 not cake 🎂.  My mom would ask re type - chocolate cream, custard, apple, blueberry, peach 🍑, banana cream, coconut cream, French Canadian sugar pie, cherry 🍒, pumpkin.   I also like pecan but not strawberry rhubarb. My mom passed in 2004. I miss her 🥧!

My wife and I just finished a peach mini pie yesterday. We are watching MY weight, LOL 😂!

Cool!  I'm more a lantern collector, but I do have a couple of semaphore blades (HEAVY!).  I'm heading to the Gaithersburg Railroadiana show this Sunday.  My main goal each time is to find an affordable lantern in a road name that I don't already have, but I never know what I'll come back with.

PINGMAN, good eye. I missed those but will be changing them out when I screw down the new siding......Paul 2

paul 2, it's just something about those wood screw heads that draws my eyes to it/them--can't explain it, though perhaps its being an older, PW guy used to running trains with the old slide shoes that I'm conscious of possible interference from those large screw heads.

Whatever the reason, no one likes to look at those screw heads when the pan head #4 is available.
