Morning guys, gone 2 days and there is so much to get up to date on, but I am going to give it a try! So here I go.

Johan, great looking harbor ! I also love the photo of the switcher coming threw the tunnel!

Howard, its hard to believe you have anything to do on your layout but maintenance. You have such a great looking layout already!

Paul 2, Thank you! Great looking train, the layout is also looking great! It must be the attic layout! I don't see any laundry detergent! LOL

Lee D, nice video! I hope you can do something for your Arthritis!

Bryan, Love the new building! Great job, it will fit right into your night life!

Jim, wonderful job on the rock wall, I am guessing there will be a river coming soon!

Brian, nice photos! You have quite the blue and yellow Santa Fe collection!

Vincent, I don't know how you do it, put one up take one down and put another one up and I be after the holidays you will do it all again! That would just kill me! LOL

Bill, $ 197.80 sure is better then nothing for your train budget! One question thought is that after the CFO got her cut? LOL

Lew, The paint factory looks great with all the lighting, along with the lighting on your tanks! Nice work!

Well I hope to get back at the mountain today, but then again it all depends on what the CEO has planned for today. I know sometime we are taking Tank to the park but not sure when. I will let you all know how things go later!

I hope everyone had a great Friday and a wonderful Weekend! Please find time for your trains and layouts!

Good morning Mike.

I dutifully handed the $197.80 to the CFO.  Then I told her about the $800 I spent on trains last week.  The only body parts still working are my index fingers.  Seriously, she didn't mind too much.  She will use the cash proceeds to visit her son in Texas for Christmas.

We are getting real RAIN!!!!  I'm glad I finished putting permanent, safe, wiring in the train building last night.  Today, I will clean up the huge messes I made.  Once complete, my Father will come over to play trains.  He retired from Norfolk Southern in 1994 saying he never wanted to see another train.  He has warmed up to my O gauge adventures over the past year.  I will pre-stage everything so he gets to do some switching and then, all the running time he wants.  The track will be clean, all switches tested, smoke chambers filled, and cold Diet Cokes standing by.

One more thing, ROLL TIDE  Y'all

Bill

The Paint Factory tweaks in the light-of-day:

There are now six spots on that siding. The red box is storage off-spot. The yellow RBox is spotted for loading cases of paint. The gray P&LE tank is spotted for unloading resin (the gray storage tank). The black tank is spotted for unloading PVA (the yellow storage tank). That spot is also used for a covered hopper to unload Titanium Dioxide (white pigment in the white storage silos). That spot can also be used for off-spot storage.

I spent a pleasant two hours moving a bunch of stuff around so I could set up a plastic track for some battery-powered Thomas the Tank Engine locos. I bought the locos cheap at various open-air markets and now that I found the right tracks, I wanted to try them out Everything works great.

It's probably the end of the line, because everything comes down November 1 as I begin my Christmas display.

Mike, How did Tank enjoy his walk in the park?

Lew, you have a spot for every car on the siding!!

Vincent, Thomas looks good!  Looking forward to the Christmas trains.

Bill, Your wife sounds real understanding of your hobby!  I'm glad your dad can spend time with you and the trains!

Bill, The Tide is on a Roll for sure!!   Some people are going to have to lose a game for the team here in Pennsylvania. to have a chance at #1.  Of course the Nittany Lions have to make sure they don't blow a game; which has been known to happen.   We Are Penn State! Yunz!

Looks good Lew what a way to diversify such a small space very well planning

Mike g, good eye. It is the attic layout.

Johan, if you were closer I would send the switcher to Sharks Bay so it could get some good run time switching. I used the 5 finger crane to move it out of the way so I could take the pics.

Lee, I have to ask the question............what pig???

Brian, enjoyed the pics.

Vincent, always nice to see your pics of your lego layouts and all the lego buildings you find you find for it.

Today I spent the afternoon helping set up for the TCA show in Parma, Ohio tomorrow. I brought stuff to sell but not as much as the last time. So this time I have less to bring home with me LOL. My train order from Menards came in but I won't be able to pick it up till Sunday. I may decide to go to the Medina Ohio show on Sunday too.....................Paul 2

Brian, Nice reflection photo! Just wondering what your reflecting on!

Bill, I am glad things went well with the CFO! I really hope you have a good time with your Dad today! Spend as much time as you can with him!

Lew, Sure is a lot of action in such a small space! Really looks good!

Mark, Tank always loves the park, there is a lake there that he likes to play in until the water gets deeper then he is tall then he gets scared like a little baby! LOL

Lee D, Man isn't that true! I have 3 spiral tablets full of notes from this page! Hey on a side note I am waiting to see the revel of what your going to put in your open space!

Paul 2, LOL not as much to bring home depends on how much you buy! LOL I hope you have fun and sell everything you took there. That way your only bringing home new stuff to you!

Well guys I spent a good part of the day yesterday in the train room. I had to add a second coat of plaster to my removeable mountain cover cause when I took it off it was still a little flimsy. While I was out there I plastered the top section of the mountain and used that textured paint some of you have been using to paint your road bed to paint the small slope between the 2 tracks I did a couple weeks ago. Here are a couple pictures.

I wont get much done today I have a HOA meeting to go to and then we have a Halloween thing to go to this after noon at 3. But the good thing is it looks like tomorrow is train room and football again!IMG_20191025_100403993IMG_20191025_100415619IMG_20191025_150659615IMG_20191025_170430159

I hope everyone has a great weekend and fun with there trains and layouts!

This one:

I'm so old I remember passing trucks with the blue-eyed Navajo on the side.

Thanks Lew!

I went out and got a little done this morning before my Board Meeting. I was able to get the round section of my Mountain off along with the top section. Now I can work on them in the garage and not the train room, Less mess that way! I still have clean up to do in that area and get my foil rock walls installed. But with the tops setup and moved now I can move forward in that area!IMG_20191026_072734609IMG_20191026_072836087IMG_20191026_072912130IMG_20191026_072754045

Lee - you have many possibilities with that space!   Can't wait to see what you create!

Lew - great to see your progression with the tunnel!   Keep those pics coming!

I only had time to run trains last night before turning in.  I wanted to get to the train room earlier but yesterday/last night was just too busy with work related stuff.  I'm planning to get to the train room tonight for an extended amount of time and get some stuff done.

As for last night, I did have fun just watching the trains run for about 10 min though!  Good times!!!

Wishing everyone progress and success with your various layout projects!

Mike g, I will say that I paid for the table so I broke even. Your base scenery is shaping up. When I got home my package from Ross Switches was waiting for me. Now I have the right curved switch to lay down some more track. Tomorrow I think I'll go to the Medina Ohio show then I'll get busy on the layout..........Pic..........Paul 2

Lee, yes, with the older version the Navajo guy was facing out instead of in profile and he had these startling (and completely wrong) blue eyes. IIRC early-'50s to early-'60s.

Took delivery of a Trainsounds tender from @Apples55 the other day.  Works great, and I have Evil Plans for the poor thing (though not brain transplants; my other TS tender has a different PCB board)...

Here it is with The Little Engine That Could, out for some exercise after last week's topic on resuscitating 1110 Scout engines...

GEDC1666

Naturally,  Road Supervisor Norma Bates Kitteh simply had to get into the scene...

GEDC1667

Did a bit of editing on my 1110; moved the whistle from next to the bell (where I'd originally mounted it) to a more realistic location near the cab:

GEDC1668

Norma settled down to watch the trains go by...

GEDC1669

And Chief Floor Supervisor Sylvia Siamese came in for some attention as well!

GEDC1670

Norma found the chuff chuff of the Trainsounds tender quite relaxing!

Lee, The kit will make a real nice industry, as Mike showed.

Mike,  I'm glad Tank had a good time.  He doesn't have to go out very far as short as he is, same with Annie!  The scenery is looking great!  The bright red grain building really grabs attention.

Lew, Ah yes, the Navajo!!

Howard, those are really nice looking cars.

Brian, North by Northwest as a matter of fact!  Hmmm, seems I've heard about that direction somewhere before!

Patrick, It's always great to run trains!

Paul, the switch looks great!  I'll need a couple more in the future myself.

Ran my new LIRR RS-3...... Had fun doing it Think it's time to switch out the RR's on the layout. I'm in a New York state of mind.

Mike- You're making some nice progress. The hillside is shaping up.

Gandy- nice score on those cars. I recently picked up a Timesaver car from a forum member. They are beauties!

Paul- more track = more space to run trains

Lee- Nice grain elevator

Mitch;

So glad that the tender works, even after being stored away for 20 or so years... even happier that it can sooth the savage beast!!! Now, it looks like you will have to clean your engine or grime up the tender

Wow... twin sons of different mothers!!! The blue isn’t offensive (unless foisted upon a poor beautiful unsuspecting GG-1)... you’ve done the razorback red to death... we won’t get into pink... How about a nice Southern RR Green scheme - I think that would look nice.

That is really cool... Fortesque must be ecstatic!!!

Mitch, That sure is a nice tender and your plans for it are quite impressive. I hope you are able to find someone to print your decals for you. Please keep us all updated on the progress!

Lee D, wonderful job on the box car! But I am kind of confused, in some pictures the box car is red and others it brown, but with the same logo. Did you paint it brown or is it 2 different cars! Either way if its 2 cars they both look great!

Well today is Sunday, so that means Trains and Football! But sadly for me it also means working on my golfcart. Yesterday while taking Tank for a ride it started smoking like an old steam engine! If you looked out the back while driving you couldn't see a thing! LOL

Lee D, if you can shoot me a picture of the area you are talking about I will shoot you one back of my grain building. When I get out to the train room, I will take pictures of all 4 sides!

Well I hope everyone has a great day and that most of your teams do well! Not to be mean but I hope the Atlanta Falcons don't do very well today!

7931207E-F77F-4DFE-8438-141BFE358DD9Mike. Thanks the car is kinda chocolate brown but changes colors in the light.
The only place is I need a pic is a side view where the rail cars go through. There’s a rectangle block mold in the base I’m going to eliminate that and replace it with something else I was just wondering if you did that? Thanks for the help.
