Brian,
WOW what a wonderful looking transition car. I can hardly wait until you put tem on the tracks and get a picture of them crossing your TALL bridge. It will be a GREAT PICTURE for sure. Thanks for posting and sharing your new car with us.
That kid with the railroad hat looks like trouble !
Mike NAAHHH he is a good kid. Love trains, cars and animals
A guy came down to my Store with his FA unit not sure if it was still working. We put it on the track and sent it around.
TMACK, Gee a lot of action on the layout. If it was not working when he brought it down then a mircle must have happened. It was really moving around the very nice layout. Thank you for sharing the video with us.

Thanks Popsrr, I like lots of controlled chaos on the layout. Do you know if the horn on those FA units were originally buzzy like it sounds in the video? It is a miracle that the Whistle controller on my ZW functions.

Ted I don't know the answer to your question. Maybe someone will read the post and have an answer for you.
Matt Jackson,
After I saw your three Santa Fe Powered Diesels in this shot I just had to find 3 of them for us. Since it had been awhile since they were issued it took a good hunt to find the three different road numbers but we were able to locate them and now have them on duty.
Here are a few shots of Santa Fe on the Micro layout and our main layout. We also have a Blue and Yellow GP7 and U-30 that I need to take some photographs of. This has been a neat thread to follow, Thanks for starting it POPSRR. Nick

Terry Very sharp!!!! Thank you for sharing with us.
Ron, Very nice!!!! Thank you for sharing with us.
I too finally picked up all 4 cab numbers of the new MTH Dash 8's. The 3 powered units are the fixed pilot version, and the non-powered will be converted to one. Modifications began, and the 1st one is now complete, with the other 3 in various stages.
Finished trailing unit, weathered mildly, crew figures removed, and dirty windows.
All the grills were hand painted.... easier than masking the whole the unit to spray them. A lot less time consuming.
The rear unit in this shot has the grills painted and ready to be weathered.
Weathered vs non-weathered. All the MU hoses were modified and moved to fit through the opening in the plow. The grab iron was moved from the pilot to the top of the snow plow. Kadee 700 series couplers, and I swapped out the wheels to run the 3 rail set.
The non powered unit awaits fixed pilot modification to complete the 4 unit consist.
Weathering is an ink/alcohol wash, then detailed with weathering powders, and finished off with a 50/50 spray of dullcote and laquer thinner by airbrush. The 4th unit is upside down to let the Bull Frog Snot dry.

Great looking units. I had a bit of a chore finding my 3 with the different road numbers. They had been out for a few years when I went looking. I was lucky that I found them. One place I called was showing that he had them on the MTH website. This person also was showing that he had it on his inventory. He turned the place upside down and finally found the unit I was a happy camper when he called me back with the good news. Thanks for posting your pictures.
MTH H10-44 recently converted to tmcc.

Here's my Santa Fe's I have 2 powered Alco's #218 a B unit 218 and a dummy #218 with 3 santa fe passenger cars. then I have A Santa Fe Flyer set. that's it for Santa Fe I did recently upgrade one of the powered units to TMCC it runs much quieter now and smoother. thinking about adding railsounds and a lighted unit in the non powered A so it has lights and sounds. looking for another shell maybe #220 or #212 so that the other powered unit is a different Number. that shell also has a busted apron.

Here is my latest addition to my ATSF fleet and latest rebuild project. I started with a Non powered MTH SD45 that arrived with broken pilots. Converted it to a PS 2 powered unit and now has fixed pilots. Now that Malcolm( brother Love ) has provided a source for decals. I will be able to renumber to 1801 as built in 1967

Haven't had the Yellow Bonnets out in awhile (actually my wife claims ownership on these), but I'm going to run them this weekend in San Diego so I had to get them down for a little TLC. Lube, new traction tires, smoke unit inspection, painted the diaphragms silver, pulled the crew figures out of the trailing A unit, and of course had to upgrade the lead A unit to a fixed pilot and a Kadee coupler.
I'm not going to modify the trailing unit as my passenger cars still have claws on them, and no one pays attention to the rear unit anyway. I need to re-arrange the clunky tether between the units to run through the diaphragms instead of below the couplers......but not enough time for that project right now.
