Engine module not loading

I believe the legacy mikes were delivered with blank modules.

Lionel did send out replacement modules when requested.

Technically speaking, you do not need a module for any legacy loco as you can simply load the information manually.

The modules are a convenience but not a necessity.

I was able to add the generic steam, but how do i get the Legacy screens to appear.  If I can do that, then you are correct.  I can dig out my Legacy manual

My Mikado came with a blank module as well.  Everything can be loaded by hand.

I did contact Lionel Customer Service and did receive a new correct module.

 See page 46 in the legacy manual. Once you have an id# for your loco its a matter of scrolling through the menu on the screen and selection the proper options, i.e. "legacy railsounds", "steam" etc It will allow you to type in the name, road number loco description i.e. mikado etc.

Listen to RickO, All Mikados came with blank modules. I don't use the modules to load the engines, just as easy to do it manually.

Nice engine.  Lionel was blowing these out.  I think I got a really good deal at $560.
