Does any body know how to get the roof of this car off ? Seems the roof snaps on but I can't find the secret latch. thanks

Thanks C&O, I got it open. I suspected that was the way, I had read about it but wasn't sure. Didn't want to bust anything. I am planning to turn it in to a interurban car using power truck. Nothing to lose. I appreciate your feedback. Jim P.
Well on its way to becoming an interurban car. Cut most of the bottom out of the car and will rest on a frame from a single motor ALCO diesel I have. Will post a photo when finished. Maybe put a gi-raffe in it.
Can't wait to see the finished product!

A little bit more progress on this car today. Finished cutting off from the roof the white plastic that extends in to the body of the car and covers the windows. Also took off the end piece on the front and glued a piece in the doorway to make a front window and drilled large "portholes' on both sides. I plan to cut pieces out of the white plastic to glue over the windows on the inside. Need to make a front pilot and a headlight on the roof. Also in the works are two "cubed" lead musket balls for weight. I will probably make this an RDC and put exhaust stacks in the roof. Don't have a spare pantograph and I like RDCs. Will remain PRR for sure.
Looks great! Are you going to cut the chassis in half so that the wheels are further out at the end of the car body?
Funny !! Hadn't thought about it. I would have to bolt it together so not sure. Will do the rest first. Thanks
I've actually done it before when I made the 2nd version of an Auxiliary Tender. I had a Hudson Tender that I cut the chassis and added a piece of thick brass to elongate it to the scale length of the real tender. I just threaded holes in the brass and screwed each part of the chassis to it.
