Problem with Operating Track Section

Probably the over complicated controller. Switch controllers and see if that makes any difference.

Thanks John, but already tried swapping the switches I haven't yet opened up the track but I wonder if there is some sort of issue inside the track with grounding possibly. Out of curiosity you mentioned the switch is complex how so? I would have assumed it was just two reed switches with the lever pushing a rocker between to close one side or another. I suppose I could just pull one of them apart to look but as I am already not looking forward to pulling the track section to bring it to the bench assuming the switches aren't the problem I am reluctant to unthread the wire to remove it from the control panel as it does not appear to be the problem.

Another bit of curiosity how real up state is your real, for about half a dozen lived outside of Utica.  Miss the area but not the weather don't think these old joints would enjoy it much.

I took one apart once, and it was complicated for me. It is like a DT switch with copper arms and round contacts. It sounds like a poor contact; you may be right about the ground. I'm between Buffalo and Rochester, a little further upstate than north of the last bridge out of Manhattan that a lot of people call Upstate.

Thanks John. Yes I remember as you got onto the Thruway from the Major Degan leaving NYC, the big sign that said UPSTATE and nothing else. NYC had a knack for that, there was a sign on Grand Central Pkwy in Queens that said Airport, which was problematic as you were about midway from both JFK and LaGuadia.
