This would count as a throwback. These are both from 2016 and the layout was just torn down to make way for a new layout.
Some people I added this week, bought off the bay for a buck. Anyone know who makes or made these? I’d like to get some more.

Here's a layout close up of my railroad's CEO (that would be me - CEO, track laborer, chief mechanic, etc.) preparing a couple of locomotives for departure...

I don't think I've posted this in this thread before...
Hi everyone...its an incredibly stormy day in Texas today, we have had lightning and thunder, 6.7" of rain, flash floods and other interesting things for the last 3 days. Luckily I don't teach on Thursday as it took 25 minutes longer to get to campus yesterday due to detours around flooded roads...well the newspapers are saying at least we won't have a drought!
Well just train watching down by the depot today, I note that the mid-day express to Atlanta seems to have hurried on its way, even faster than normal...leaves one wondering what is it trying to get out of the way for? However in just a few moments, me and everyone else in small town, will know what the excitement is!!
Here is the reason for the excitement...THE CIRCUS IS COMING TO TOWN! Just after the express moves out of the arrival track, the circus train arrives under PRR (no less!) diesel power. The animal cars arrive first with the small animal 2 level circus car, the horse transport car, and of course the giraffe's. WOW...this is a big deal in small town and it is the typical Labor Day weekend festival. OH BOY...I can taste that roasted corn, corn dogs, and funnel cake already!
Happy Thursday everyone
