Brian, very impressive! I guess I am a late starter to the train game! I got my first train when I was 48 LOL and my first O gauge when I was 50! But man is it fun, I just wish there were more people closer to me into trains!

Found some more this morning. Then ran more tra8ns, now it’s time to go home

Ran my Veterans SD-60 passenger excursion yesterday & today in honor of all my brother VETS!

Ran trains for 4 hours for my open house today.  Had about 30 visitors.

Did some work on the switch tower area for my freight yard. 

Last week, I was able to resolve all of my wiring issues, so I was finally able to do that which I designed the layout for... run a train around all three of my interconnected mainline loops!!! Could manage two trains running at once, but three was a bit too complicated - need much more practice at multi-train operations!!!

Brian, Running trains beats working on bench work any day in my book!

Elliot, from what you do with your wiring, if you start to hand out Tylenol to everyone whos head spins, you better buy some of there stock! LOL

Apples Nice looking freight yard, I think the tower and parking lot look just wonderful!

Got trains running better after replacing some track, then ran trains while listening to Frank Sinatra, Neil Young, Johnny Cash and the Allman Brothers. That's Heaven.

I'm with you Elliot. The more I read about issues with TMCC/ DCS/ etc, I'm perfectly happy running conventional. I am always impressed with your planning and execution.

Arnold, I'm glad you got your track problems corrected!  Yes, those are all good choices for music to run trains by!

Ran trains several times this weekend. Decided to run my Pennsy 0-4-0 which has not seen much action lately. I noticed it was squealing a bit so I decided to clean and lubricate it.
Then I remembered that I bought some mini harnesses for the light in the tender. Since I had it on the bench figured it was as good a time as any to rewire it.
Took it apart, installed the new harness, tested good. When I was reassembling it one of the wires broke off of the headlamp. It was a mess from 40 + years of tape melting around it so away it went to be replaced with an LED. Gotta get some warm white LED's, the cool white doesn't look right on an old steamer.

Done....back together and running the rails.

The old PRR steamer looks great, Bob!

(some silly joker on the news got a ticket for it while driving  )

Mansfield show was a bust for me but on the way home I stopped in Menard's to pick up the wiring kits for the buildings. No work on the layout was out most of the day. Tomorrow after raking leaves I'll put some earth color to the plaster I did. Pic.......Paul

I got a coat of earth color down on the plaster. I used up what I had mixed in a bottle. So I went to make up some more and found out.....no more earth color. Going to check in the attic before I start panicking. Wonder if Micheal's, Pat Cattans or Hobby Lobby carry the woodland scenics colors. So unless I find a bottle floating around in the house I can't go further with coloring. Pic.............Paul

Hey Paul, last time  I was at Hobby Lobby here in Washington, they had some Woodland Scenic grasses and paints along with a handful of other Woodland Scenic stuff. Hope it helps!

Thanks for the kind compliments. The switch tower is really something - I got it from Crescent Locomotive Works at one of the Yorks last year. I originally intended it for the entrance to my engine yard, but it ended up in the freight yard, so I had to order another one from Dave at October York!!! It is very detailed. One of my favorite features is that there are moving switch levers in the tower and a sample board that actually lights up. This isn't the greatest picture, but you can get the idea.

Will be interesting to see what this layout sells for!
